Craig is a not only an avid Disney fan and a former cast member, but he is also a pastor of The United Methodist Church. Craig currently serves a church in Berkeley, CA and while he loves serving the people there, he also deeply misses being close to a Disney theme park (thankfully the Walt Disney Family Museum is nearby). Mouse Church is a way to bring together two things he is passionate about – serving God and sharing his love of Disney.

Being a pastor wasn’t originally in the plan. Growing up, he had dreams of becoming a doctor and when he first enrolled at UCLA he was pre-med, but chemistry class soon got in the way and he realized medicine wasn’t going to be his path. He ended up getting his Master’s Degree in Political Science at CSULB, but instead of going into politics, he ended up taking a detour into the marketing field. He worked in marketing for nearly 10 years, moving across the country to Atlanta, GA where he met his wife and started a family. While there, he realized God was calling him to do something different.

He ended up enrolling in seminary at Candler School of Theology at Emory University where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. For a few years, he served churches in Georgia before being called to serve back in his home state of California where he promptly became an annual passholder. It was only when he moved to the Bay Area that he decided to give that up, but he still enjoys visiting Disney theme parks and often family vacations are centered around something Disney.

He has been fortunate to have visited every Disney theme park around the world as well as having been on a few Disney cruises and even once an Adventures by Disney trip. He wanted to share his love of Disney which turned into the Disney Nerds website and becoming a Disney blogger which opened even more doors and opportunities for which he has been so grateful. Overall, Craig sees his Disney experience as something that makes him better as a pastor. He has applied the lessons he has learned as a Cast Member, a blogger, and classes with the Disney Institute into his ministry and is excited to see where God is leading him next!
